Past Events!
Free “Day at the Bay” Event in Emeryville on August 15th, 2026!
Wow! What a great event! Everyone seemed to have a great time, and we were so happy you came out to have a day of science learning and play with us! In total we saw over 100 people, including international visitors! Thanks to everyone who donated to our cause and asked great questions about our mission! A special thanks to everyone else we met who had good ideas about connections and future projects for CLC, we appreciate your interest and input! We hope to see you all again soon. At “Day at the Bay” CLC had an information table and a science exploration space for kids where we had various sensory boxes, biofacts, and other learning tools/toys set up for investigation. We sold our new T-shirts and tote bags, books, and shrimp key chains for donations. We had several guests guess correctly (-/+100) how many letters we had in our jar to win a free book, one student was 1 off! Wow! Ya’ll are smart! Our partners OSEA and East Bay Children and Nature (EBCN) were at the event as well! OSEA was shark fishing, they saw a tiny little baby bat ray (SO CUTE!), and they let kids measure their big fake shark to learn about shark surveying. EBCN had some rad looking structures set up, including some gold-rush-looking flumes! Thank you to OSEA, EBCN, all the great folks from The City of Emeryville, and our funders from The Water Movement for making this such a fun event, we couldn’t do this without you! See ya’ll on the next one!

CLC held a back-to-school book fair at Mori Point Trailhead on Saturday and Sunday August 1 & 2 2026. We had free accessible activities for kids to explore plus lots of books for purchase! Thank you to everyone who stopped at the fair and thank you to everyone who donated!

Vallemar Preschool Shark Week!
CLC ran an exciting Shark Week program at Vallemar Preschool in Pacifica, CA in early June 2026!
